SWEDEN TOUR 2008 On our way to Iceland Already havin' fun! We arrived safely in Copenhagen, Denmark July 15th, 2008 Glad to be back in Europe! The bridge between Denmark and Sweden We'd never been on it before Our first morning in Sweden Mrs Claésson had prepared a typical Swedish breakfast We did the music for the Jesus Festival, celebrating 10 years The first speaker was Mikael Alfvén Opening night of the Jesus Festival 2008 We did a concert in the town square Here's Jonathan! Lots of people came, and there was free food and fireworks Älmhult Town Square We did several services in the town square during the day too! Here's Jonathan again! The weather was great!! "Kräftskiva" - Craw Fish Party!!! Some friends of ours brought loads of craw fish from the west coast Sunday Morning Service outside Last day of the Jesus Festival Probably singing GOSPEL!! Pastor Ted Yuke from Canada ministering to a local alcoholic Helene with our new friend Magdalena, who works as a missionary in Bulgaria Getting ready for the last service of the Jesus Festival We participated in about 35 services in 10 days! Singing "I Believe" one last time. It became the theme song of the Jesus Festival Last service! After the last service, a bunch of us went swimming Well deserved after all the hard work! VACATION!! After the Jesus Festival, we took a few days off at the southeast coast of Sweden The weather was perfect!! It was our first time in this part of Sweden Pretty!! These sea gulls are not bashful in any way! Claéssons & Thulins Just enjoying some free time! Looks like Morgan is enjoying himself. The east coast is ALMOST as great as the west coast! Idyllic! I LOVE THE OCEAN!! This is close to Karlshamn, Blekinge Morgan & Börje checking out the marina Look at all this HERRING! Fresh fish!! Isn't it just gorgeous!?! "Fika" Don't you just wanna jump in?? We found this hidden bay where we spent the afternoon Great view and so peaceful! This is in a town called Åhus in southeast Sweden We had dinner on a floating restaurant! Lake Möcken right outside Älmhult BBQ at the Claéssons! Last day in Älmhult Time to say goodbye to all the Claéssons After Älmhult, our journey took us to Åsarp outside Falköping Morgan has been a pastor in this area and close to here is where Jonathan went to 1st-3rd grade Reunited with old friends Here with Karin Lööv In the morning we sang at an ice cream café In the evening we had a full concert in a Mission Church Hooking up with old friends 12 years ago we had a group called GET REAL Andreas, Sofia, Nettan, & Samuel (4 out of 10 musicians) Jonathan with our cousin Viktor Reuniting with old friends on the island Hönö Morgan, Helene, Monica, Ove Our hometown Gothenburg Looking down main street (THE AVENUE) towards the harbour SWEDISH STRAWBERRIES!!! To get to the island Hönö, you have to take a ferry Morgan...a true "westcostian" Exploring the island! This is the trail I run when we stay on Hönö Island The house we´re staying at on Hönö Island One weekend we ministered off a fishing boat in 4 different harbours off the west coast of south Sweden Soundcheck! Mom hanging out with the skipper Our last stop was Dyrön An island with about 100 houses and no cars It is one of our favorite places! Used to live here and Jeanette started kindergarden here many years ago We had a plum tree right outside the house we stayed at. This guy HAS to be full!! Jonathan loves to explore! This is on a trail that goes around the island Jonathan & Jeanette Jeanette picking some flowers This is where Morgan & Helene pastored in the 70´s and where during a prayer meeting God called them to America Jonathan & Jonatan...known each other since they were born This type of moped is the main transportation on the island Walking "home" after the evening service On our way to Sunday Morning Service Had to walk to the ferry in the rain Evening service at a café on another island called Fotö, neighbor to Hönö A lot of friends and relatives came to this particular service! Great to see them again!! Afterwards...dinner at the Ivarsson´s Gotta have craw fish and shrimp on the west coast!! Yeah...what can you say?? Our family is crazy!!
